The Nathaniel Bacon Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), is a group of dynamic and interesting women with a shared interest in community service and playing a part in the NSDAR core values of dedication to promoting patriotism, preserving American History, and securing America’s future through better education for children.

Our chapter was founded March 15, 1924, with Pocahontas Wilson Wright being elected the first Regent. It was organized in a house located on the site of Nathaniel Bacon’s plantation.  Bacon was an early colonist of the Virginia Colony, and “the first Virginia rebel” as the leader of the Bacon Rebellion in 1676; which many historians describe as a prelude to the later American Revolution against control of the Crown.

We enthusiastically welcome new members, and encourage you to contact us and consider joining us at our next chapter meeting or event. We look forward to hearing your ideas and being an active part of our chapter! Our meetings are held on the first Friday of each month, September through May.
